Recreation includes golf, biking, fishing, hunting, racquetball, jogging, camping, bowling and a movie theater. Annual events include the "World's Greatest Home-owned Carnival" (featured on 60 Minutes) in August, the Mini-Sapa Festival in October, and many historical events. Home-style EntertainmentDuring the first week of August, Oberlin hosts the "World's Greatest Home-Owned Carnival." For over two decades, this carnival has grown to become the role model for home-owned carnivals throughout the Midwest. The entertainment doesn't stop there. The Mini-Sapa Festival, the first weekend in October, relives our area's heritage and is complimented by the Antique Car, Thresher and Engine Show. The Museum features an open house, concerts and more. The Decatur Area Chamber of Commerce has entertainment information at (785) 475-3441. |
